Supercharge your brain
I wanted to share something I’ve been experimenting with lately. Nutrient-dense smoothies can be an absolute lifesaver when you’re on the go. Life gets busy, and it’s not always easy to find the time for a full meal. That’s where these powerhouse smoothies come in.
Smoothies, unlike juices, can be packed with fiber, antioxidants, adaptogens, and phytonutrients. They’re like a quick shot of goodness that your body can easily absorb. Whether it’s breaking your fast in the morning, grabbing a nourishing snack, or refueling after a workout, these smoothies have got your back.
In my own routine, I’ve been using smoothies as a fast-breaking meal. I’ve found that adding low-glycemic fruits like blueberries gives me a burst of antioxidants and deliciousness. They’re my secret for staying energized and focused.
My fast-breaking meal includes a smoothie with ingredients like:
- Low-glycemic fruit like blueberries, which are rich in antioxidants and also delicious
- Collagen which has gut-healing and anti-aging properties
- Seeds and nuts — a great source of healthy fats to keep you energized, full, and focused
- Saffron which boosts serotonin levels in the brain which can help regulate mood
- Rhodiola rosea, an adaptogen which helps your body adapt to stress.
- The sea vegetable Spirulina which is great for boosting your energy levels and is full of Vitamin B1, B2, copper and Iron
- Dandelion which has bioactive chemical compounds that have been touted for diuretic, liver-supporting and anti-inflammatory effects
