How I Never Experience Jet lag

Flying left and right, up and down, living in between Africa, Europe and the US for many years, I frequently had to adjust to time differences. There are so many but my few fav are:

  • I drink plenty of water.
  • I move continuously during long flights, I use my elastic bands every half hour on long flights, in the back of the plane… even if people look at me like thinking I’m crazy.
  • I never eat plane food, bringing my own super healthy food. I align my eating with the destination meal time ie I wouldn’t eat after 6pm or before 11am destination time zone, not to disturb my circadian rhythm.
  • Bluelight blocking glasses — I noticed a big difference using them, and depending on the time of day, I often walk onto or off of the plane wearing them.
  • Blackout mask (I use Manta Sleep). Good noise-cancelling earbuds to listen to binaural audio — I use the Bose earbuds with a saved binaural audio track.
  • I wear Compression socks.
  • I take general antioxidant and hydration supporting supplements, as well as 2mg melatonin, 200mg theanine, and 250mg GABA (sometimes I add myoinositol — Andrew Huberman’s sleep stack).
  • I keep my exercise routine and, depending on the time of landing, I train right after a long flight.

If you have any other tips, please write in the comments.
